What is Spiritual Direction?Spiritual direction is a sacred conversation between three people: you, me, and the Spirit. It’s a space of deep listening, where we pay attention to your soul’s unfolding and the invitations of God in your life.
What is a Spiritual Director?There are many ways to describe a Spiritual Director, however my favourite came from a friend of mine... "it's like a life coach for your faith."

Spiritual direction is as old as the Christian faith. It's the practice of finding someone who can travel along your faith journey with you seeking the movement of the Holy Spirit in your life.
Jesus is the ultimate spiritual director. He asked questions to help others deepen their faith. Consider his friendship with Peter and how he guided Peter to become the rock that the church has been built on.
Throughout history Christians have sought others to develop their faith. At one time it was the Church Mothers and Fathers in the desert. Later people visited monasteries or mystics. Indeed, spiritual direction is an incredibly old practice.

There are many examples within the New Testament of spiritual direction. As stated above, Jesus is the ultimate spiritual director. However, each of Paul's letters may be considered spiritual direction as he was helping specific congregations grow their faith by answering their questions and offering intentional spiritual insight into their situations. Specifically, his letters to Timothy offer encouragement to him as he seeks to deepen his own faith and share the gospel with others.

Of course you can! But to help you out, here’s a little bit about spiritual directors.
A spiritual director has been specifically trained in spiritual formation and practices. The goal of spiritual direction is to meet together with the intention of focusing on your spiritual growth. Certainly you can speak with your Pastor about how you would like to deepen your faith.

Andrea will work with you to create a wonderful event for your church or group. In person events are approximately 2 hours long, including lots of time for learning, practicing, reflecting together, and fellowship.
Combine a few different options to create a day-long event, or weekend retreat.
Andrea offers these workshops for a starting fee of $200/workshop, and provides all the materials needed.Fees do not include travel expenses.

No. A therapist focuses on helping your process past trauma and learning how to manage your mental health. While a spiritual director can come alongside your therapist, their focus is on your spiritual growth. Often these two practices can go hand in hand and work very well together.

A spiritual director is trained in spiritual formation and spiritual practices. Part of their training includes an internship where they are guided by Certified Spiritual Director Supervisors. They must have their own spiritual director to guide them on their journey. Additionally, they must complete certain standards before they can become certified and part of maintaining their certification is to stay relevant through continuous reading.
Having a spiritual director is an enriching and beautiful relationship. It is a chance to ask tough questions, pour out fears or offer praise and thanksgiving. Everything shared with your spiritual director is confidential so there is no fear that what you say will be shared with anyone but your director.

Yes. An individual session lasts one hour and is $60.
Andrea offers commitment groups that meet online for a specific number of sessions. Registration fee is dependent on the number of sessions.
If finances are a concern let Andrea know so that she is able to accommodate your budget.
